Frequently Asked Questions
-
No referral is needed to book an appointment. You can reach out directly and schedule a session whenever you’re ready.
-
Every session begins with hearing your full story including yours and your baby’s history, your family’s experiences, and your goals so that I can fully understand your unique situation. Depending on the type of appointment and with your consent, I may also conduct an exam or perform gentle assessments with your baby to better understand their development and needs.
For infant feeding and lactation appointments, it’s especially helpful to observe a feeding during the session. Ideally, plan for at least an hour between your baby’s last feeding and your appointment so we can see their current skills, whether breastfeeding or bottle feeding. If your baby becomes hungry closer to the session time, you can always offer a small feeding for a “snack” beforehand.
By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a clear plan of action and practical strategies to work on at home, so you feel confident supporting your baby between visits.
-
For your initial in-office session, please bring:
A baby blanket
Any pacifiers your baby prefers
Anything you may need to care for yourself and your baby during our time together
For infant feeding and lactation sessions please bring baby bottle(s) with 1–2 oz of breastmilk or formula if this has already been introduced to baby.
If you have feeding concerns, it’s especially helpful for me to observe a feeding during the session so I can provide the most accurate guidance and support.

I work exclusively with babies 0-12 months. If your little one is beyond this age range, please reach out, I’m happy to provide trusted referral options to ensure they get the support they need.
-
Every baby and family is different, but most often I see families for around 3-6 sessions to meet their first set of goals. After that, some choose to stay on for a little longer so I can continue to support their baby through new milestones.
How quickly progress happens depends on things like how regularly you’re able to practice at home, how your baby responds day to day, and the strategies you use together to support them through changes. When families stay consistent, I usually see wonderful, steady progress unfold.
If it ever feels like things aren’t moving forward, or if new needs come up, I’ll talk with you about whether continuing together or bringing another provider on board might be the best way to support your baby.
-
Absolutely. I work with babies who are formula fed, breastfed, or a mix of both. If you’re using formula, I can support you with things like choosing and preparing it, bottle-feeding techniques, easing reflux or tummy discomfort, and making feeding a positive, connected experience for you and your baby. My goal is to help you and your infant feel confident and comfortable regardless of the feeding method.

If your baby’s needs go beyond what I can support, I have a network of trusted local specialists and can help guide you to the right care. From pediatricians and dentists to ENT providers and other pediatric therapists, I’ll make sure you have the resources and referrals you need so you and your baby get the best possible support.
